Sand Bar

The beach glass for this "sandy beach" island/eating bar in Oak Bay, Victoria was provided by the owner. Several test pours were conducted while developing the techniques used to achieve the desired "natural" look we and the owner were after. They are now part of our original "trade secrets"...

The personalized island of this kitchen in Cobble Hill, Vancouver Island was made black, to match the slate tiles on floor, and to contrast to the natural concrete color of rest of the kitchen countertops. It also includes a fossilized ammonite that the owners provided as well as what is becoming our signature “beach sand “ effect.

A string of tiger's eye beads originally belonging to the owner's grandmother were sliced and inlaid into the Kailua-colored eating bar, countertops and backsplashes of this penthouse renovation in Downtown Nanaimo.

Other features include an integral drain board with copper rails and decorative aggregates consisting of copper chips, decorative glass beads and semi precious stones.

This Craftsman-style kitchen renovation in Yellowpoint B.C. features Greene and Greene-inspired cabinetry crafted from local alder by Vern Warnoch Woodworking.

The concrete counters are a natural grey color, with stainless steel chips used as decorative aggregate. Seams were fashioned to compliment the style of the millwork, while the raised eating bar brings an airiness to that space.

The counters were sealed with a new-generation sealing system that promises unsurpassed staining, heat and abraision resistance.
